Red Golden and Lady Amherst females can look really similar. Here are a few tips to tell them apart.
Female Red Golden Pheasants:
- Slightly yellowish skin on their legs.
Female Lady Amherst Pheasants:
- Light bluish-green skin on their legs
- Around eye their skin is a subtle blue
- While imagining where their "eyebrow" would be, there is a reddish-brown strip, the size of a 'bird's' eyebrow
