Meyer Hatchery started collecting tax on all orders, including lives, in 2020 pursuant to a change in laws and a shift in our customer base. Depending on our economic nexus in your state, you may or may not see tax applied to your order. If you are tax-exempt, please submit your state's Sales and Use Tax Exempt Form before placing an order. Once the completed form is received and processed, the tax-exempt status will be placed on your account and all future orders will be tax-exempt. We are not able to retroactively refund tax paid on previously placed orders.
In order for your tax exemption to apply to your order, you must be logged into your Meyer Hatchery account prior to placing any orders. You can verify that you are logged in by clicking on the account icon in the top right-hand corner and viewing your account page. If your tax exemption did not apply, please send a screenshot of your cart page to wholesale@meyerhatchery.com for troubleshooting.
