We suggest holding off on providing treats until your chicks are about 4 weeks of age. For optimum health and growth, your birds need the nutrients provided in a high-quality well-formulated chick feed first and foremost. Once your chicks are around 4 weeks of age you can start providing treats in moderation. Think of treats as "snacks," and should not replace their chick feed. When you start introducing treats, we highly recommend providing free choice grit to help them break down and digest any new foods.
