Recently there have been many videos making the rounds on social media indicating that young chicks can be easily sexed by looking at the wing feathers. These videos are misleading for most chicks as this method has been proven only to be accurate for chicks carrying a very specific gene tied to the rate of wing feather growth.
What might be true for a breed from one hatchery, is not necessarily true for the same breed at a different hatchery. Even a breed that was once feather sexable for a hatchery, may not be in subsequent years as new stock is imported in. Wing Feather Sexing is specific to each hatchery's breeding program.
Meyer Hatchery uses several sexing techniques, including vent, color, and wing sexing, depending on the breed.
