My tracking number hasn't been updated, are my chicks okay?
If you have looked up your tracking information for an order you are expecting and don’t see updated information, please don’t fear the worst. Often times this is just an error in updating the tracking number as they are transferred from facility to facility.
What about eggs, will they still hatch?
Yes! Eggs are actually viable for up to two weeks in transit, though their fertility will decrease over time. However, if they are in the mail a few extra days or over the weekend, you can still expect normal hatch rates.
What do I do when my chicks have been shipped, but the tracking information hasn’t changed?
If you are still within the 1-3 day shipping period we recommend contacting the USPS to see if they are able to provide more information on the location of your shipment. Once your chicks leave the Meyer Hatchery facility they are in the hands of the USPS and they are your contact for any shipping related questions.
What do I do if it’s been 3 days and I still have not received my chicks?
Please contact us ASAP at the hatchery via email, chat, or call 419-945-2651. We will be happy to assist you further in trying to locate your chicks and or setting up a replacement order if needed.
Meyer Hatchery takes pride in packing all of our live poultry with care, so we expect their journey to their new homes to be safe and successful.
